December to Remember is an annual event held during the yuletide season aimed at reaching out to the less privileged especially widows and their children to ensure that they celebrate Christmas with joy. It started in December 2018 and has held annually since then.

Planning begins from the beginning of the year with efforts at getting partners to be part of the sponsors for the event. Subsequently, more intense campaigns and sensitization begins from October.

Each year, communities are identified through our monthly outreaches and fellowships or we partner with other initiatives to reach out to indigents.

Intensive prayers and planning are always done to ensure that the events are hitch free and successful. Volunteers are raised to handle various aspects of the program like purchase of items, collection of fairly used clothes and other donations, packaging of gift items, refreshments for volunteers, music etc. Branded tshirts, carryon bags, gift cards, attendance registers, banners, jingles, video skits are all designed to ensure the smooth running of the program.

At the event, participants are organised and served with gift items on a first come first served basis. Fairly used items are shared on a needs assessment basis. The volunteers are trained to ensure that they work in line with the vision of the outreaches.

More importantly, the Word of God is shared to encourage all participants and prayers are made for them for divine intervention in their lives.

It is always a fulfilling and rewarding experience seeing participants go home with such joy and laughter on their faces assured of a great Christmas celebration.
